Tibra Awards Update, Januray 26, 2005

Dear friends,

We hope you all had a happy and joyous Eid!

Things are looking good at our end! Many of you have responded to our updates with donations, pledges, and volunteer services. Thank you all--we are honored to have your trust and commitment!

Here is a summary of where we are:

Donations

• Received: $2210 in total, ranging from $10 to $1000 per donor
• Pledged: $800

Judges

• Promised: 5
• Committed: 5

Nominations

• Promised: 6
• Received: 1

Deadline for nominations:1 February 2005, six days to go!

We encourage you all to donate money to Tibra; any amount you can afford to donate will be well-spent. If you have pledged, please send your pledged donation soon.

If you are a potential nominee or if you know one, we urge you to send in the nomination package before the February 1 deadline.

Tibra Awards--now in its 5th round--still needs participation from more members of the Libyan community. Your support is critical to the success of this community project.

Here is where we stand in the 2005 Tibra Awards:

• Promised: 6
• Received: 1

Deadline for nominations: 1 February 2005

We are $890 short of our target. We need to hear from you! Any amount you can afford to donate will be appreciated and well-spent. We encourage you all to donate money to Tibra. If you have pledged, please send your pledged donation soon.
