Tibra Spotlight, October 2003

Dear Friends,

For the October issue of Tibra Spotlight, we're pleased to bring you something a little different-- a first-hand account of a Libyan woman, who grew up in Libya, and her struggle for success abroad. Soad El-Rgaig's determination and drive for knowledge inspires her friends and family daily. As a linguist and a teacher Soad hopes to unravel the mysteries of our own language in working to establish the Society for Libyan Linguists.

We hope her story will give new insight on the experience of leaving Libya for better opportunities, and, as always, inspire our young men and women to realize their dreams, no matter what obstacles are in their path.
