2003 Tibra Awards Update

We are a little late with this update but glad to send it out before the end of the year.

2003 Awards:

Tibra Scholarship: $1000

Fijra Scholarship: $500

Recognition Certificates: 5

Funds:

$415.56 received

$484.44 still needed to reach target

Nominations:

6 nominees identified and contacted

1 partial nomination package received

Judges:

5 judges have committed to serve

2 backup judges also on board

Important dates:

1 February: Nomination deadline

1 March: Nomination packages to be sent to judges

21 March: Judges' reports due

1 May: Announcement of final results

Organization Update:

Tibra Foundation is officially recognized as exempt from federal income tax under section 501(a) of the Internal Revenue Code as an organization described in section 501 (c) (3). All donations to the organization are tax deductible.

For wire transfers, please note that we have a new bank account. The new account and routing numbers have been posted on the web site at http://www.tibra.org/donations.htm Checks and money orders are also welcome and should be mailed to the address below. Please make all donations payable to Tibra Foundation.

Slowly but surely we are broadening our base of support. We are delighted by new participation from Canada and the UK, and look forward to further growth and hopefully participation from inside Libya.
