Update, 21 November 2001

Hello friends.

We hope you are doing well and Ramadan is going well for you.

Here is an update of where the 2002 Tibra Awards project stands as of November 21, 2001:

Donations received: $860 in total, ranging from $25 to $485 per donor

Outstanding pledges: $200 in total

Judges committed: 5 educators from the Libyan community. Full set!

Nominations promised: 3

Nominations received: None

Our goal is to raise $2,500 for the 2002 Tibra Awards program. We are $1,640 short of our target.

We really need your commitment at this time. We need you to send donations and nominations. Donations can be $5, 10, 20, 50 or any amount you can afford. Write a personal check or money order to the order of Hana Naas and mail it to the address below. Also, think about someone you might know in her final year of high school, contact her and try to fill out the nomination form together.

Please reply to tell us if you have already sent your contribution or will be able to nominate or donate by a deadline of February 1, 2002.

Your support is critical for the success of this community project because we can not do it alone.
