Selection Process

  1. Tibra Foundation seeks verification of information provided in each nomination package by contacting parents, schools, nominators, references, etc.

  2. Up to ten finalists will be selected from the pool of nominees based on their credentials.

  3. Nomination packages of the ten finalists are sent to the judges on March 1, 2008.

  4. Each judge reviews and ranks the finalist nominees independently.

  5. Judges submit their rankings and reviews to Tibra by March 21, 2008.

  6. Tibra consolidates the judges' rankings and reviews to determine the Scholarships recipients.

  7. The finalist nominee with the highest overall ranking is awarded the Tibra Scholarship ($2000.)

  8. The finalist nominee with the second highest overall ranking is awarded the Fijra Scholarship ($1000.)

  9. All finalists are awarded the Tibra Achievement Award.

  10. The finalist nominees' profiles are published with the announcement of the results on May 1, 2008.

  11. Tibra judges' names and biographical sketches are published along with the results.

  12. All Scholarships and Awards certificates are sent to the finalists by mail.

  13. The Recipients of Tibra and Fijra scholarships are contacted by Tibra Foundation to arrange for the payment of their scholarships.
